Upper Elementary

The Upper Elementary teachers are Mrs. Luisa Johnson-Dailey and Ms. Sheila Agosto. They are assisted by Mrs. Nancy Valiente. Students in this class enjoy Greek and Roman mythology, reading, writing, science, math, physical education, art, music, and computers. In addition, they visit Losner Park on a regular basis. Meet our magnificent Upper Elementary teachers!

Ms. Sheila Agosto was born in Puerto Rico and came to the United States when she was six years old. She graduated from FIU in 2001, receiving a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. She is currently completing her Montessori credential through the Center for Guided Montessori Studies. She enjoys playing flute at church and has gone on several mission trips, too. Mrs. Luisa Johnson-Dailey has been in Montessori Education since 2012 first working as a Preschool Assistant and then as an Upper Elementary Assistant. She has also worked as an Art Teacher for various private educational institutions. She earned her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Communication, Photography and Marketing from the University of Miami (Go Canes!). She also has a Master of Fine Arts from Miami International University of Art and Design, and is currently working towards her Upper Elementary Montessori Certification.

Mrs. Luisa is a nationally and Internationally exhibited practicing artist. She loves traveling the world with her family and underwater photographer husband and learning about new cultures. You may reach her at ljohnson@atalamontessori.org.
